V1K1 Nominated for Remi Award in the USA

V1K1, starring Leanna Tan, Del Wynegar, Lyon Sim and Seth Adams, featuring music by Amanda Ling, is nominated to win one of the top four Remi Awards at the 44th HOUSTON WORLDFEST in April 2011.

Houston WorldFest is recognized as North America's oldest International and Independent Film Festival, existing before Sundance, SXSW, Toronto and Tribecca, having given their first awards to visionary directors like Ridley Scott and George Lucas when they were young independents.

What our 1st audience has to say.

“It has the presence of imagination, which sadly takes a back seat here in Singapore.” - Elektone

“Experimental and intriguing!” – The Lost Hat

“Evokes dark allegories with vivid characters and strong thematic elements.” – Mark Saito Nagasaki

"V1K1 proves that you can be ambitious as long as you have enough imagination." - Kurt Gunapathy, I-S Magazine

“Like any good heady trip, it's probably fit for multiple viewings. A beautiful surreal fairy tale techno mash-up movie!" – Tony Kern, Director of Haunted Changi

“A sci-fi short film reminiscent of an industrial music video coming across a 90s alternative movie!”
– Dalsix Visser, Singapore Dark Alternative Movement

Uniquely 'Tzangisth' in mood and tone. You should just continue to produce films that is out of this world. It is a healthy thing for Singapore. Singaporeans (if they still exist) will be watching your films 50 years from now.”

– Johnny Lau, local comic book legend, creator of Mr. Kiasu

V1K1 :: Full House Premiere! :: 2nd Singapore Short Film Awards

V1k1's Sneak Premiere at the 2nd Singapore Short Film Awards, was screened over at Substation on the 3rd of March 2011.

Many people turned up, even with people sitting on the floor, sideways of the theater and stairways. It was on FULL HOUSE!!!!!

As we got some people to interview after the screening, the reviews were outstanding and electrifying as people were praising the work of the ITE College West DAV students team behind it. As I was approaching and filming with different people being interviewed, I was very proud of myself too being as a publicity member, Tzang's microphone to the public, effort was indeed satisfied. Well, it wasn't enough for us though. ENCORE!!!!!
